Engineering Materials

Catalog description

This course combines theory and practice in an environment of applied materials science. Lectures consist of the presentation of topics by the instructor, weekly oral presentations by students, and the solution of pertinent materials and strength of materials equations. The laboratory consists of conducting experiments in common materials testing, and demonstrating the principles of materials science using the analytical tools in the laboratory. Co-requisite(s): MATH 105 Applied Technical Mathematics I or MATH 150 College Algebra with Trigonometry .
