Catalog description

This course is recommended for students entering any teaching field involving mathematics, including early childhood, childhood, middle childhood, and adolescent education. It emphasizes the mathematics treatment of the fundamental concepts of problem solving, reasoning, arithmetic, numeration systems, number theory, and developmentally appropriate strategies and activities as they relate to the current learning standards in mathematics. Appropriate uses of technology will be incorporated. Pre-requisite(s): One course in algebra at the high school or college level.
