Catalog description

Human Service Skills emphasizes the basic concepts of social welfare, human needs and the helping relationship. The course combines classroom and field study with the objective of introducing students to the functions of community agencies and the clientele served as a means of learning the fundamentals of the helping process. Students spend six hours per week in the field. Pre-requisite(s): HUSV 109 Orientation to Fieldwork with a grade of “C” or better.
