Catalog description

In this course, students will improve their writing ability by concentrating on the writing process: prewriting, writing, revision and editing. Other concerns of the writer, particularly audience and style, will be addressed. Students will study the essay as an art form: a vehicle for creative expression, historical record, social commentary and analytical thought. They will also explore the use of technology to enhance communication. Research techniques and MLA and APA documentation styles will be addressed within the context of a research paper. An oral presentation is required. Open to students enrolled in Honors College or by permission of department chair. OPEN ONLY Open to students enrolled in the honors track of the
