Catalog description

This course is a study of the principles of ultrasound instruments, modes of operation, operator control options, frequency selection, and scanning motions. Planes in a cardiac examination, patient histories and physical signs, patient preparations and doppler vs. color doppler protocols also will be covered. Basic generalized pathology of the different organs also will be covered. OPEN ONLY Open only to matriculated Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography students or by permission of department chair.
