Catalog description

In this course, students will explore the concept of developmentally appropriate practice and its implications for creating a caring community of learners. Students will learn teaching strategies to enhance development and learning, construct developmentally appropriate activity plans, assess children’s learning and development, and establish collaborative partnerships with parents. Twenty days/80 hours of field work are required for this course. Open only to matriculated education students. Pre-requisite(s): ECCE 228 Observation, Assessment and Guidance in Early Childhood Education
