Guidance of Young Children

Catalog description

This course is an examination of appropriate guidance techniques for young children. The needs of children in the areas of nutrition, health, sleeping, toileting and self-help skills will be examined in relation to program routines and the crucial elements of the learning environment. Students will learn how to observe systematically and record children’s development by completing an in-depth study of one child within their field placement. OPEN ONLY Open only to matriculated Early Childhood students.
