Catalog description

This course introduces the theories of patient physiologic monitoring and their application during an interventional procedure. Students will recognize the difference between atrial, junctional and ventricular arrhythmias, as well as interpret these conditions and discuss possible causes. This course will also cover the supplies required for specific interventional procedures. Discussions will focus on the preparation of materials and devices during a procedure and post-procedural cleanup and care of interventional materials and devices. Course content will also provide the student with an overview of sterile technique and isolation procedures that apply to cardiovascular interventional procedures.
