This is an introductory course in corrections that will examine the correctional system from an historical perspective. Topics include the philosophy of punishment, correctional alternatives, theory and practice involved in the treatment of offenders, and post-correctional release. Pre-requisite(s): CRJS 101 Introduction to Criminal Justice .
