Catalog description

This is an introductory course designed to acquaint students with the fundamental principles of animal law and ethics in the criminal justice system and society as a whole. Specific topics include a basic introduction to animal cruelty laws, companion and domesticated animals, animal fighting and breed specific legislation, federal animal statutes, industry standards with regard to animals in agriculture, animals in entertainment, animals used for clothing and animals in experimentation.
