This is an introductory studio course in stoneware ceramics. Through lectures, wheel throwing, and hand-building, students will explore the aesthetic, sculptural, and functional possibilities of clay. Techniques will be demonstrated and lectures will feature technical information on high temperature firing and stoneware glazes.
