Statics and Strength of Materials

Catalog description

This course will cover vectors and force systems, centroids, moment of inertia, stresses and strains in homogeneous and elastic bodies, temperature stresses, mechanical properties of materials, shear and bending moment, stresses in beams, and deflection and column theory. Pre-requisite(s): MATH 110 Intermediate Algebra with a grade of “C” or higher.
