Statics and Strength of Materials

Catalog description

This course covers vectors and force systems, centroids, moment of inertia, truss analysis, stresses and strains in homogeneous and non-homogeneous elastic bodies, temperature effects, bolted and welded joints, mechanical properties of materials, shear and bending moment, stresses in beams, deflection theory and column theory. Pre-requisite(s): MATH 150 College Algebra with Trigonometry with a grade of “C” or higher.
