Intro to Children's Literature ((3 Credit Hours))

Catalog description

An introduction to a wide variety of children's literature for ages preschool through 6th grade, both historical and contemporary, including such genres as fantasy, fairy tales, poetry, historical fiction, speculative fiction, etc. The course encourages critical thinking and the development of analytical skills that are used in the understanding and evaluation of children's literature.
