Vegetable Crop Production ((3 Credit Hours))

Catalog description

Through classroom, greenhouse, and field instruction, students will gain the knowledge necessary for planning, growing, and managing vegetable crops in Northwest Illinois. Seed selection, soil health, fertilizer requirements, weed management, and pest control will be taught in this course. Post-harvest handling, storage, and processing practices will also be covered.
