Catalog description

The course is designed to equip candidates with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to use a variety of reading assessment tools and practices available for the classroom setting in order to plan and evaluate effective reading instruction that meets the needs of all their students. The course is specifically designed as the second required reading course for prospective graduate candidates who will be pursuing elementary, middle level, or K – 12 Special Education teaching license through the Arkansas Department of Education’s Nontraditional Licensure Program or through a state approved Masters of Arts in Teaching program.
