Reading I: Classroom Reading Instruction

Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to prepare candidates to teach reading to students in a developmentally appropriate manner. The course is specifically designed as the first reading course for prospective graduate candidates who will be pursuing elementary, middle level, or K – 12 Special Education teaching license through the Arkansas Department of Education’s Nontraditional Licensure Program or through a state approved Masters of Arts in Teaching program.
