Radiographic Procedures I

Catalog description

This course is the first in a sequence of courses that instructs the student in the radiographic positioning of the anatomic structures and organs of the body, correlated with a review of Human Structure and Function. The basic radiographic positions and procedures of the chest, abdomen, upper extremity, shoulder girdle, and lower extremity are learned. Actual radiographic images of corresponding procedures will be analyzed for inclusion of appropriate anatomy, positioning, pathology, and image display qualities. This course includes the following number of contact hours: Theory - 45 and Skills Lab - 14.5.
