Catalog description

This course provides students with basic healthcare research skills necessary for evaluation of research and integrates student’s learning of the research process with their ability to analyze research studies in a written critique format. Students use critical thinking to explore scientific methods of inquiry, research design and methodology, and ethical consideration in human subject investigation. Written APA-style research critique and evaluation will be introduced as a foundation for evidence-based practice. (Meets discipline specific writing intensive course requirements and Communicating across the Curriculum requirement.)
