Catalog description
This course equips students with the essential knowledge to navigate the complex economic landscape. It covers micro and macro-economic principles. Microeconomics covers the behavior of the individual consumer and firm, and their interaction with the government including supply and demand, consumer behavior, production decisions, and market structures. Macroeconomics focuses on the broader economic systems, analyzing aspects like national income, employment, inflation, economic growth, and the role of monetary and fiscal policies in shaping the economy.
