Computed Tomography Clinical Internship

Catalog description

This course is designed for sequential development, application, critical analysis, integration, synthesis and evaluation of concepts and theories in the performance of computed tomography procedures. Through structured sequential, competency-based clinical assignments, concepts of team practice, patient-centered clinical practice and professional development are discussed, examined and evaluated. Clinical practice experiences provide patient care and assessment, competent performance of computed tomography imaging and total quality management. Levels of competency and outcomes measurement ensure the well-being of the patient preparatory to, during, and following the radiologic procedure. Students are under direct supervision of ARRT Registered Radiographers employed at the clinical site affiliates. A total of 80 hours a semester equals one internship credit hour.
