Catalog description
This course introduces concepts related to various disease etiologies and processes, especially as they apply to radiology. Terminology and disease classifications are discussed. The basic manifestations of pathologies of various body systems, including respiratory, digestive, urinary, skeletal, endocrine, cardiovascular, nervous and reproductive, are examined. The course emphasizes the effect of pathology on the technical factors used to obtain a radiographic image and its radiographic appearance. Appropriate radiographic imaging procedures and interventional techniques are identified.
