Catalog description

This course continues the focus on optimal patient care. A more detailed look at infection control in the health care setting. Routine and emergency patient care procedures are described including vital signs, and the use of tubes, catheters, line and other medical devices. Basic concepts of pharmacology, venipuncture and administration of diagnostic contrast agents and intravenous medications are covered.
