This course focuses on the rehabilitation concepts of Spinal tract and Spinal cord disorders and dysfunctions; Neurologic disorders of the peripheral and central nervous systems; developmental & chromosomal neurology; motor learning and motor control; common pediatric pathologies; the balance system; and amputations. Each unit will review the anatomy & physiology of related tissue, patient assessment data collection methods, nonpharmacological medical management, pharmacological management, and physical therapy interventions and management. System interactions, equipment, devices, and technologies utilized in management of the patient/client with a neurological disorder or dysfunction will be reviewed.
