The course focuses on the transition of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to the new role of a nursing student preparing to become a registered nurse. The practice of nursing and the conceptual basis of practice will be addressed as well as legal and ethical issues and the health care delivery system of today. Student development will be addressed in understanding nursing as an art and science with scholarly activity promoted.
