Community-Based Nursing

Catalog description

This course introduces the student to the practice of community health nursing. The focus is on foundational knowledge required to practice in community settings including professional communication, the nurses’ role in advocacy and collaboration, and evidence-based practice. Quality improvement and use of power, politics, and public policy will be explored in creating and maintaining new health care delivery systems in the community.
