Catalog description

This course provides you with a comprehensive overview of the TCP/IP protocol stack including its history, development, current applications, and future implications. This will include the presentation of both the TCP/IP model of networking and the OSI Reference Model. It also helps you as a beginning technical course for more advanced networking courses. Topics are basic TCP/IP functionality and how it relates to the OSI Reference Model, related LAN and WAN protocols, TCP/IP network addressing, security, routing, monitoring and managing IP networks.
