Introduction to Networks (ITN) is the 1st of 3 courses in the Cisco Academy version 7 CCNA curriculum. This course covers the architecture, structure, functions and components of the Internet and other computer networks. Students achieve a basic understanding of how networks operate, how to build simple local area networks (LAN), perform basic configurations on routers and switches, and implement the Internet Protocol (IP). Students will use best practices to configure actual switches, routers and end devices providing end-to-end connectivity using IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes while building and troubleshooting a small network. The course includes activities using Packet Tracer, hands-on lab work, and a wide array of assessment types and tools.
