This course is designed to cover the fundamental concepts of geometry and is intended for students who lack credit in one year of high school geometry or need a review of the subject matter. Emphasis will be placed on techniques and manipulations, problem solving and logical reasoning are a main thread throughout the course. Instruction will provide students with needed techniques and enable students to reason and make the connections that are involved in the learning of mathematics. Instruction will emphasize the connections between verbal, numerical, symbolic, and graphical representations of the concepts. Deductive reasoning is an integral part of the course. Algebraic concepts will be used where appropriate.
