Medical Assisting Practicum

Catalog description

MA 161 provides a final clinical experience for students to apply their learning from previous coursework in the role of a medical assistant. Students will have the opportunity to perform skills and observe other practitioners in three key areas of medical assistant practice: clinical procedures, medical administration and finance, and medical assisting pharmacology. Students will be additionally required to demonstrate professional behavior and ability to communicate with patients and other healthcare providers in diverse clinical environments.
