Phlebotomy Practicum

Catalog description

MA 151 provides a final clinical experience for students to apply their learning from previous coursework in the role of a phlebotomist. Students will have the opportunity to perform skills and observe other practitioners in the practice of phlebotomy and in the lab. Students will be additionally required to demonstrate professional behavior and ability to communicate with patients and other healthcare providers in diverse clinical environments. Prior to the start of class, students must submit evidence of background check, drug screening, TB testing, a physical exam and current immunizations.
