The American Experience

Catalog description

This course will follow the development of the nation as told through the eyes of those who lived it. Through discussion of firsthand experience as shown through art, film, essays, speeches, poems, news reports, and more, students will explore the connection between American Literature and American Culture. This survey course will stretch from America’s founding to present day in an attempt to develop skills necessary for understanding critical literacy.
