Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the relationship between selected works of literature and their film adaptations, where students will watch different types of film and discuss the various texts those films are based on (short stories, plays and novels). Students will also examine the historical, cultural, and thematic relationships between literature and film in order to see their relationship to each other and to the society from which they developed.
