Introduction to Global Studies

Catalog description

This course provides an interdisciplinary approach to identifying and understanding many of the unique challenges that globalization presents to our world today. Through an introduction to the various approaches and methodologies of the different disciplines involved, we will try to ask and answer key questions in the field of Global Studies including “How do different cultures both hinder and enhance the ability of peoples to work together?”; “Is conflict inevitable?”; “Can we build systems that reduce inequality?”; and “What is the prognosis for the future health of our planet?”
