Irish Culture and Society

Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to Irish life and culture for international learners at Carlow College. The class includes a study of Irish life and character as it manifests itself in history, regional personality, celebrations, music and legendary figures. Classroom discussions are integrated with guided fieldtrips to provide learners with both the tools to appreciate Irish culture and the opportunity to gain access to that culture during their semester in Ireland.
