Catalog description

The focus of this course is on learning the skills needed to be a successful recovery support specialist for individuals with behavioral health disorders. Concepts that will be addressed include ways to assist individuals in developing interpersonal skills through the use of evidence-based practices, holistic wellness related to recovery from behavioral health disorders, person centered approaches to care and a basic understanding of behavioral health. Case studies and audiovisuals will be used as part of the learning experience.
