Catalog description
The focus of this course is the exploration of ethical considerations in the provision of health care services. Concepts that will be addressed are codes of ethics for various healthcare disciplines specific to each student’s course of study along with exploring the differences between the ethics and values, regulatory compliance, and the steps to ethical decision making. Reasons why normally ethical people may act unethically will also be discussed. Case studies and audiovisuals will be used as part of the learning experience.
