Catalog description
This course enables students to develop a strong knowledge base regarding basic human anatomy, with an emphasis on musculoskeletal responses to high intensity exercise. In order to apply knowledge of sports conditioning, students participate in plyometrics (exercises involving explosive shortening and lengthening of muscles), core and upper body strength training, speed training, agility (the ability to efficiently change the body's position using a combination of balance, coordination, reflexes, strength, speed, and endurance) and other forms of sports conditioning.
