Introduction to Film Studies

Catalog description

This class examines film as an art form, as a social practice, and as a business. While we will focus on film as a narrative medium with its various genres and themes, we shall also explore documentary and experimental film from around the world, all as expressed through sound, editing, lighting, set design and other aspects of visual composition and cinematography.
