Catalog description

Mechanics is the study of the effects that forces produce on bodies. This is a course in dynamics, the branch of mechanics in which bodies experience accelerations due to unbalanced forces. Topics include particle kinematics (rectilinear and curvilinear); Newton's laws; energy, work, and momentum methods; planar dynamics and rigid bodies; rigid body kinematics; impulse and momentum; and vibrations.
