Paramedic Practicum II
Heartland Community College · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
EMT 241 is the fifth in a sequence of five courses designed to prepare students for Paramedic licensure. Students must successfully complete all courses to qualify for licensure examinations. EMT 241 utilizes cognitive, psychomotor, and affective standard objectives specified in the U.S. department of Transportation 2010 EMT-Paramedic National Standard Curriculum and the National EMS Education Standards. This course is designed to be the “capstone field internship” portion of the paramedic course. The student will primarily focus on ALS team leadership, continue to develop either critical thinking skills, along with developing as a clinician as they conclude their field internship experience. The skills, knowledge, and abilities gained in this course will tie everything together that they’ve learned in EMT 235-EMT 240.
