Internship in Criminal Justice

Catalog description

Supervised field experience in a variety of settings related to the criminal justice field including: law enforcement, court services, correctional institutions, advocacy groups or private security. Students will receive on-the-job experience as an aide or in a volunteer capacity for at least five hours per week (a total of 75 hours per semester equals one internship credit hour) to gain practical skills and experience. Students may be required to submit to a criminal history background check, as well as a driver's license check prior to beginning an on-site experience.
