Catalog description
This course introduces the student to terrorism and its impact on the criminal justice system in the twenty-first century. Students will examine the relationship between intelligence and homeland security strategies using a case-study methodology. The course also includes a focus on controversial issues surrounding the USA Patriot Act and intelligence gathering within the United States. Additionally, the role that federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies play in counterterrorism will be studied.
