Catalog description

This is an advanced course in communication studies, with variable content that is focused on research, theory, and application in a particular topic of communication studies (such as organizational communication, sexual communication, media, etc.) Readings will center on current developments in the study of communication and may have an interdisciplinary, social scientific, ethnographic, and/or critical perspective. Because topics and research studied will change each semester, COMM 296 may be repeated for a total of six credits.
