CHEM 115 is a one-semester laboratory course that is intended for non-major students who may plan to pursue an agriculture, food science, or health-related profession. The relationship between chemistry and society will be studied using food as a medium for scientific exploration. Examples from everyday life will be used including cooking, food preservation, nutrition, and health applications. A two-hour lab each week will reinforce the lecture material.
