Catalog description

This course includes fundamental biological principles as related to humans in our biological world. Basic structure and function of the human body on the cellular, tissue, and organ system levels will be covered in this course. This course also includes the control and maintenance of the body and the continuance of the species. The relationships between genetics and lifestyle choices and their contribution to health and diseases will also be explored. Lab exercises include human models and preserved animal specimens. (This course cannot be used for credit in programs requiring BIOL 181 and BIOL 182.)
