Introduction to Astronomy

Catalog description

This is an introductory course in astronomy intended for students who desire a physical science understanding of topics such as: the earth as a planet, the sun and the solar system, stellar systems, stellar evolution, galaxies, and cosmology. Laboratory activities supplement the lecture material, and may include evening astronomical observing.
