Catalog description
This course is an introduction to the theoretical and practical aspects of graphic design, including techniques, processes, terminology, basic compositional and conceptual skills. Students will design strategies that solve visual communication problems through hands-on projects which use design elements, typography, and illustrations to create effective messages. This course is also an introduction to the production of printed materials. Students will utilize the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
