Catalog description

An introduction to both hand and wheel methods of construction in clay. The course examines: glazes, surface work, and firing processes. It provides experiences in making functional as well as sculptural pieces using a variety of techniques. Emphasizes well thought out 3D forms, surface work, and good craftsmanship. Health and safety in the art studio is integral to this course. Meets 6 hours for 3 hours credit.
