ART 1033D Design: Introduction To Sculpture

Completion of ART 104 is recommended. 3-D Design: Intro to Sculpture is a foundation studio art course which explores design elements, principles, and theories as applied to the making of sculpture. A variety of materials, hand tools, and hands-on processes will be employed to create three-dimensional art objects. Students develop vocabulary and critical analysis by using diverse and inclusive art-historical and contemporary references. Safe studio practices of all tools and course materials will be emphasized.
